Bylaws Amendments
All five proposed amendments to the ASM Bylaws on the ballot were passed by the membership. Of particular importance was the one concerning Postdoctoral members and Transitional members. Postdoctoral members have been granted all of the privileges of Full Membership. Transitional Members have been granted all of the privileges of Full Membership except the right to hold office. This means that both of the above-mentioned membership categories now have the right to vote in ASM elections. See the ASM website effective January 2010 for a revised copy of the Constitution and Bylaws.
