ASM sent statements to Congress on the Fiscal Year 2012 appropriations for federal agencies that support biomedical, agricultural, and environmental research and public health.
Congress approved the final negotiated fiscal year 2011 continuing appropriations bill (HR 1473) on 14 April. The bill extends funding for the remainder of the current fiscal year and cuts a total of $38.5 billion in discretionary spending from federal agencies.
