ASM has long been committed to the educational development of young professionals wishing to pursue a career in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, health care epidemiology, and related fields. Now in its fifth year, the ICAAC ID Fellows Grant Program continues to receive outstanding reviews from participants, offering ID Fellows a unique opportunity to attend the 49th ICAAC and participate in an experience specifically tailored to their educational development needs.
This select group of Fellows will have the opportunity to hear a targeted keynote talk, participate in mentored poster walks, receive overviews of recommended sessions for attendance, interact with ICAAC Program Committee members, and be given personalized attention including daily discussions to help them maximize their educational experience.
A subcommittee of the ICAAC Program Committee has chosen 45 ID Fellows from the U.S. Infectious Disease Fellowship Programs and 15 ID Fellows from the International Infectious Disease Fellowship Programs. The ID Fellows Grant Program Committee is international in scope, and its members encourage Fellows to engage in discussions and consider collaborations with their scientific colleagues from around the world.
Supported by an educational grant from Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, participants receive airfare, transportation to and from the convention center, meeting registration, hotel accommodations, and daily breakfast briefings.
