The Forsyth Institute is seeking a Ph.D. or Ph.D./D.D.S./M.D. with at least 3-4 years of postdoctoral experience for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate level in the Department of Molecular Genetics (www.forsyth.org/research/centers/genetics.html).    Applicants should be able to develop an independent research program in one of the following two areas as they relate to human health and infectious disease: (1) microbial physiology and ecology, (2) microbial-host interactions.  Experience in bioinformatics is desired.  The successful candidate should have a strong publication record and demonstrate the potential to obtain extramural funding.  The Forsyth Institute, now entering its second 100 years of improving oral health, offers newly renovated, state-of-the-art laboratory space, competitive salary, and a startup package with generous fringe benefits.
