An NIH/NSF-funded postdoctoral position is available to study biomechanical features of biofilm formation and fragmentation in the context of blood stream infections.
The work is collaborative science involving microbiology, engineering, and mathematics. Ideal candidates will have a life-sciences or engineering Ph.D. and familiarity with mechanical features of biofilms or similar viscoelastic materials.
